ISO the best feta cheese in montreal

I LOVE feta cheese but the mass produced supermarket one (the name escapes me at the moment) just doesnt cut it for me....

I got a tip from the chill sandwich guy at Eden (when asking him about their feta) that PA on parc has an aged feta that is lovely ... can anyone confirm this?

Or suggest other places?

  1. I picked up some pretty good Bulgarian sheep's milk feta at Branche d'Olivier, on Wellington in Verdun, recently. It's got more moisture and is more flavourful than the bland Saputo stuff in supermarkets, and its texture is such that it can either be cut or crumbled.

      I'm also fond of the French semi-firm goat cheese formerly known as feta (prior to EU controls on use of the name) from Chèvretine. It's pricey, though.

      1. I hear the feta at "40 west" on Sources is the best. I have a couple friends who go nuts for it for some reason. And yes you can go there and buy it to go.
