what to order at Back Forty
I'm going to Back Forty next week. It seems to be one of those deceptively simple menus where nothing really jumps out. Any favorites that I should order? Thank you Hounds!

My wife and I were there last night. We shared the baby octopus salad and the watermelon salad, both of which were excellent. Then my wife had the burger which she said was delicious, and I had the lamb sausage which I can definitely recommend. We also had the corn succotash which worked really well. For desert, you cannot miss the donuts - they are sublime. The berry pie, however, didn't really work - the pastry was soggy. And the red and black is probably the best cocktail I've had in ages.

Thanks everyone! I must admit, gourmet onion rings don't hold a whole lot of appeal to me. The grilled trout or the whole fish are more up my alley. I tend to like cleaner, lighter fare. I'm wondering if Back Forty isn't the place to go for that.... ?

I absolutely love the Pork Jowl Nuggets & the Smoked trout & sweet potato pancakes. Dinner-wise, I really enjoyed the grilled trout & the burger.
