Pho Nam in Catonsville is definitely the best place in the Columbia/Ellicott City/Catonsville area

In Columbia, you've got two options within a few minutes of the Rt 32 exit, Pho Dat Thanh and An Loi. Between the two, I prefer Dat Thanh, but it's been a while since I've been to either.

Pho VN 1 in Beltsville. On Rte 1 in a tiny shopping center across from the Costco. Going north from the Beltway, it will be on your left. Look for a Shell station on your left and then turn left and immediate right into the shopping center. Best pho in the area IMHO.

Great news! That's my favorite local pho place. Last time I had a craving I had to go to Pho VN-1, which is good, but I much prefer 88.
