First time in NY and wondering if there are any ok restaurants within walking distance of the Eventi. 851 Avenue of the Americas, I believe. Wife spent our money on shows so I'm looking for inexpensive, at least by NY standards.

  1. What are the cross streets (in Manhattan, #s of n-s streets are not inherently meaningful).
Reasonable means very differnt things to different people. For good responses, you shuold tell us how much (US dollars) you are willing to spendincluding tax (9%), tip (20%). And info on type of retsaurant - ambiance, food- would help.

      It's on 30th Street.
I guess I'm not sure how much I'm willing to spend. The restaurant at the hotel charges $20 for a hamburger. If that's what the going rate in NY is, I guess I'm willing to spend it. Giving it further thought, my concern is whether there are places within reasonable walking distance that aren't dives? I would like to be able to go in shorts and a, say golf shirt, so I suppose I'm looking more for the pub-type place if I had a choice.

      Thanks for the tips.

    2. You're in luck if you like Korean food.

      1. The Breslin is great and really close. I don't know if it counts as inexpensive but it's not particularly expensive in my opinion.

But you would not feel comfortable in what sounds like a suburban golf outfit; it's just not how we dress in NYC for an evening's meal. And def not at The Breslin. If that is most important maybe Old Town Bar would suit. Great Old NY pub. Lots of character and an approachable bar menu.
