Alphonso Olives

I was told that there is an olive vendor at the Hollywood farmer's market on Sunday mornings. Can anyone confirm this. I'm looking for a large red-wine vinegar cured black olive called an Alphonso. Whole Foods sells them but I hate paying close to $10/pound for them. Thanks.

I do not believe there is. There is one company that sells middle eastern products like pita and oils, and they have some olives, but just a few kinds. They are the same company ("Mom's" I think they are called) that are at most of the area farmers markets.

I have seen a vendor on the West side of the Farmers market with a few different types of olives...all are real good not sure if Alphonso's are one of them...

Does anyone know where to get Alphonso (Alfonso) Olives anywhere in the greater Los Angeles Area? I've looked at my local Whole Foods, Gelson's, and local market to no avail....
