    Hey Burger Boy!

Your difficulty in locating an “El Churry” may be because it is a proprietary name for a product exclusive to Puerto Rico. In addition, you may be referring to churrasco mixto (mixed grill) instead of “churisco”. Similar sandwiches abound here in the states under different names, depending upon their origin. Check out …

    El Gallo Giro - Mexican
    Various Southland locations
    Try the Torta Cubana

El Gaucho Meat Market - Argentine
    2715 Manhattan Beach Blvd
    Redondo Beach, CA 90278
    (310) 297-2617
Go for one of the chorizo/choripan, milanesa, bistec, etc. sandwiches – excellent!

    Mofongos Comida Caribena – Caribbean
    5757 Lankershim Blvd
    North Hollywood, CA 91601
    (818) 754-1051
Ask for the bocadillo – great!

Senor Big Ed – Puerto Rican
    5490 Lincoln Ave
    Cypress, CA 90630
    (714) 821-1290
Torta – not the best example, but the mofongo is superb!

    Tito’s Market - Argentine
    9814 Garvey Ave.
    El Monte, CA 91733
    (626) 579-1893
Their sandwiches are similar to El Gaucho’s (above). They also make some of the best empanadas and sell some of the finest bacon ever (raw, sliced to order, cook at home). Get some of each.

Been to El Gallo Giro and Tito's, nothing close to the mixto, plus the place in PR marinates in sofrito for 2 days. I know I will not get it here but was hoping to get close. I will check out the other places you have mentioned. TY
