Viva Goa on Lombard in San Francisco?

Melanie Wong Jul 27, 2010 02:37 PM

For at least a month now, I've been driving by Viva Goa in the Marina. It took over the former Shangrila spot, what was Taste of the HImalayas before that. Here's the photo of the front that I took when stopped at the light yesterday.

I haven't managed to get in, so thought I'd mention it here so that other 'hounds can give it a whirl and report back on the Goan cooking. This is a regional Indian cuisine that's not represented in the City, and maybe not in the rest of the Bay Area.

Here's a link to the online menu,

Any idea of their hours? I don't find that on the Web site though it does refer to a lunch buffet.

The take-out menu says Lunch 11-3 and Dinner 5-10p. It also says "daily lunch buffet", but I some how had the impression that the buffet was M-F, so best to call ahead.
