Circa 1886--Charleston?? Reviews please!

We live outside Charleston and our regular kid-free night places are FIG and McCradys. We have tried many of the other upscale places in town. For a special occasion this weekend we wanted to try something different. My husband is a vegetarian and I know Circa has some sort of vegetarian (no fish) option on each course. But is it good???? ANyone try the veggie dishes?

  1. I have been to Circa 1886, but I have not had the vegetarian dishes. I liked it and I thought it was very good, but it isn't quite as good as FIG, imo, almost but not quite. It has been awhile since I've been there so I'm sorry I don't remember what I had, but I want to say it was fish. I will say that I know I both my husband and myself had the seasonal tasting menu, and we both enjoyed our food. They do have quite an extensive wine list, and I know they like to use local ingredients. Also, the service was friendly and top notch. I think if you go you will be pleased and have a nice time. Lastly if you are looking for something romantic you might want to ask for a booth.
