Looking for good food trucks willing to travel to southern Oregon for a wedding

We're getting married in Ashland, OR (which is right over the California border) next August, and want to do something a little different for food. Ideally, we'd like to find a number of small street food-style vendors (taco stands, food trucks, etc) who could make the drive up, and could serve a party of about 200 people. Ideally, we'd find a good mix of people, all doing interesting, fun, creative, fresh food.

Since we're from SF and know the options are much better down here, we're really hoping to find people in the area who could travel. Otherwise, if anyone knows good street food in Ashland, that'd be great!

  1. This request reminds me of an old joke.
A drunk is muttering to himself about losing his car keys after leaving a bar. A friend finds him on his hands and knees under the streetlight across the street from both the bar and his car, unable to find his keys. The friend points out the futility of looking for his lost keys across the street from his car, to which the drunk replies, “Yes, I know, but the light is much better over here."
P.S. Eugene is 1/2 the distance
P.P.S. Medford(13 miles) has Taco Trucks.

P.P.P.S. - Portland, or is still 30 minutes closer than san francisco (according to google maps). And I hear portland has some great eats.

    2. P.P.P.P.S. Given it's an 11 hour drive one-way from the BA to Portland...or a full days travel...it's likely to cost you an outrageous sum. If it were me, I'd charge $5k just to show up because you're losing 3 days of sales, at the min. Do a search for a taco truck in Ashland.

It's only to Ashland, less than 350 miles and poppy asking on the "Oregon" board.

Right...my bad. Still 350 miles still isn't close. It seems like looking in Redding, Yreka and that area could be helpful but my guess is she'll find one in OR.

      2. You could ask Laurant at Chez Spencer if you like his French Food truck. It doesn't hurt to ask. I imagine money talks in that kind of situation. http://www.spenceronthego.com
