what restaurants are recommended for craw fish dishes??
You could check out Sammy’s Creole 3409 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (at Browns Line) to be sure crawfish dishes are still on the menu.
Sammy's has been closed for several months, unfortunately
Does anyone know where to get fresh or frozen craw fish? I am looking to make Jambalaya and I have been using shrimp and would rather try craw fish.
Fresh are impossible in Toronto. Frozen can be found at Diana’s Seafood Delight on Lawrence.
Fresh are possible in the GTA. Not in stores, but under rocks.
Frozen available in St Lawrence Market - not sure of the name, but it's in a vertical glass-doored freezer towards the SW corner of the main floor.I've been very happy with the quality (considering it's frozen).
i've seen the frozen ones there....anyone else on restaurants??
Big Daddies on King does a seafood boil that includes them. This isn't an endorsement though, as they are from frozen and not especially good.
I think you're referring to Mike's Seafood at the SLM. The frozen crawfish are in boxes in the right-most glass door freezer.
i thought we'd have a few more people playing with them in the city for some reason...i guess i was wrong
They have a crawfish appetizer at the Queen West location of Harlem. I've never tried it so don't know how they prepare it.
