I've never heard of Massey's until seeing this link (elsewhere) earlier. Sorry I missed out, but sounds like they went into a slow decline after 1996 when the Massey's sold it.

Given other meals I've had there, I'd take the CFS at Reata site unseen.

You might check Lonesome Dove's menu ... I know they have served pan-fried there, but not sure if it's a regular item.

Yes, it is, across Camp Bowie, just a couple blocks away. That's Drew's Place, and their CFS can be very good ... it seems to be a bit variable. But I believe they deep fry it there ... Thanks for reminding me, I've been meaning to go back there. It is in the 'hood, so if you're from the suburbs, bring your street smarts ;) Very nice people.

I had the CFS at Chef Point Cafe in Watonga tonight and it was one of the better ones I have had in the DFW. Cool place, located inside a Conoco Gas Station.
