Riesling Week in San Francisco
From the press release:
"During the week of July 26-August 1, the European Union and Wines of Germany will sponsor the sixth annual “Riesling Week,” a celebration of the diverse Rieslings from Germany, Austria and Alsace. During this week, restaurants [...] will offer consumers and Riesling enthusiasts the chance to sample different styles of European Riesling by the glass, by the bottle, or with a special pairing menu."
Does anyone have any more details on what San Francisco restaurants are offering? Is someone really doing a Riesling-paired tasting menu? Are there restaurants with an expanded Riesling-by-the-glass program this week? Is someone serving Coq aux Vin Jaune avec Morille?
Curious minds are looking for answers!

I know a little more...
Most restaurants are offering expanded Riesling selections with quite a few of them offering Riesling flights. RN74, of all places, has 15 Rieslings by the glass, and Coco500 has the only case of a special German Riesling in the United States, they seem quite proud of it.
Gary Danko had no clue about what Riesling week was, or why they might be on the website, and Spruce was downright rude, saying they didn't know anything, but maybe if I called back tomorrow someone would have the details. Some places just don't give German wines any respect.
And finally, Farallon actually is doing a special four-course prix fixe dinner with Riesling pairings, $60 for dinner plus $30 for the wines.
