Are you willing to drive a reasonable distance from your hotel or do you want to dine close by your room. Where are you staying.

What type food are you interested in. Do you want country, BBQ, steaks, burgers, seafood or fine dining.

Yeah, it's strange come to a board for a mid-size metropolitan area that has hundreds of independent/local restaurants, many many of which are worthy of a visit, and ask for a single rec based on zero criteria. Although I have to say you are not the first. "Any price or genre" covers a lot of territory and many square miles. If your requirements are really that broad, why not just browse previous posts here? All the typical recs get mentioned again and again. Or, go here, look at the Critics Picks, and pick one: http://www.nashvillescene.com/gyrobas...

OR ... you could talk a little bit more about what area of town you'll be in, what type of food and atmosphere you are looking for, what price range you are after, how important beer/wine/cocktails are to your dining experience, etc. and we could come up with some recs that might actually work for you.

or you could stop being a princess. just a thought. as i said - we simply want to know what locals consider their favs, any type, and ill filter it from there.

i do this in the new orleans board every week -- "for creole we go here, for best french go here, for our favorite poboys we go here" etc. its actually not too difficult. in fact it probably would have taken less energy than complaining about the open endedness of the request.

oh well. thanks for the link tho.

Kibbles........Did you read my post. I post on NOLA board also. The first request someone makes on the NOLA board then someone wants to know where you are staying, do you have a car, will you take a cab and what's your budget. That's not too hard. If TLF made you mad fine get over it and just answer my questions and I will tell you where to go. If not then have fun. Good luck.

If you are getting in after 9, I definitely suggest F. Scotts. It's got Jazz, and the food is half off which is greeeat.
