Oooh, I coulda had a V-8!
What are the restaurants that you always forget about, and then say, "Man, I always forget about that place, it's so good, why don't I go there more often?"
For me, it's GW Fins, Upperline and Ristorante del Piero in Kenner. My all-time V-8 restaurant was Christian's, pre-K.

In NOLA, I seldom have those "V8 moments," but that is probably because we never get over often enough. I usually spend weeks planning every meal, prior to leaving.
Still, I completely agree with you, just for other cities. On the plane home, we'll look at each other and comment, "why didn't we dine at restaurant X?"
In PHX, we encounter this phenomenon more often. "Why didn't we choose restaurant Y?"
As I age, I have more of these "duh!" moments.

PS - G W Fins has always come through for us, so remains high on the list. We do miss it on some trips, but only because we ran out of nights.

re: kibbles
That is a very nice act on their part. They strike me as folk, who honestly care.
Besides that, they have always come through on the food, and the service, regardless of whether it's just my wife and me, or we are hosting a dozen guests. I have never had one complaint. Besides, their B-T-G wine selections are very nice, and usually deviate from the "usual suspects," and in NOLA that is not easy to find.
Thank you for pointing out their support.
