Hello all, I am considering moving to Vancouver, I also would like to attend culinary school, I was wondering if there are any credible ones. I currently live in Toronto, and could easily attend one here but I really want to move out of this city.

After chatting with a number of chefs and other folks with culinary school experience on behalf of my younger sister, I found the most often recommended local school was in fact Vancouver Community College. It has a great rep in town and costs a lot less than the private ones that waylman mentions.

FWIW, Chef Christophe at NWCAV catered my wedding 10 years ago when he was at the now defunct Dubrulle. Fantastic food, innovative thinking and a dream to deal with, and that is coming from someone who might fairly have been categorized as a bridezilla.

As someone who has taken the Serious Foodies courses (and a smattering of other one-off classes) at NWCAV, I can attest to their high caliber of professionalism, passion and overall quality. I can't speak to NWCAV's professional programs, but I have no doubts about their quality. Chefs Tony and Christophe rock !
