The BEST thing I ever at is_____________________ at ___________________________.
We are coming to Chicago and we love to always hear from those who had the best whatever it is that makes you talk about it over and over again and where did you eat it.
The best thing I ever ate was the hand-rolled gnocchi at Spiaggia. I've had gnocchi many times before and had an expectation of how it would taste at Spiaggia. I was absolutely blown away-- it was like eating savory clouds in a creamy light sauce with truffle shavings.
My meal at Spiaggia was the most memorable one of my life, but I think the gnocchi was particularly special because I didn't expect something so simple to be so spectacular.
A runner-up would be the sweetbreads at the Publican. Another simple preparation that was extraordinary and memorable for me.
