PA road trip: Brooklyn to Falling Water to Gettysburg and home againADVICE NEEDED
We're taking 4 days in early August to drive Brooklyn to Falling Water (Mill Run east of Pittsburgh) then to Gettysburg and home again. looking for eating reasons to get off the interstate for lunch, snacks, markets, etc in both directions and places for dinner in Mill Run and near Gettysburg. not in a rush on our drive either way so happy to take long detours and change highways for a tasty treat.
Any and all advice appreciated! Thank you.
If you'll be in Gettysburg on a day when Pomona's is open (Wednesday through Saturday for dinner, Friday, Saturday, Sunday for lunch), I recommend stopping there. It's a tiny place out in the country north of Gettysburg, and it's known for making the most of the wonderful local Adams Country products. Even the milk for your coffee will be from a local farm.
