Black Moon Bar and Lounge - Richmond Street
Was walking to a movie at Scotiabank last night and walked by this new bar on Richmond (where Da Nu La was? didn't realize it was closed). They had a wide open large window and inviting looking comfortable chairs (some that swivel!), so we went in for a pre-movie drink. The place looked great inside, obviously some money was spent in the decor. Servers were upscale looking but very friendly.
I ordered the strawberry martini, which stated it had 3 oz, and yes, yes it did. If not double that. For $10, you really only need to order one drink! I couldn't finish it, although delicious, I hadn't planned on being intoxicated for the movie. Didn't get to order any food, but they put wasabi snacks and chick peas on the table.
Seems like a good place to go for afterwork cocktails, if you work in the downtown core. Would go back after work with friends to see what sort of crowd they draw on a weekday.
