Private dining in Houston
My wife and I are trying to find an elegant restaurant with a private dining room for 10-12 people total. We went to Quattro last year and had a blast, but Chef Meredith has left since then. We also have thought about Le Mistral, but it's a bit of a trek (we want to stay downtown, med center, Heights, or thereabouts). Any suggestions?

Try Mark's on Westheimer. Some of the best food in Houston and the space is truly unique...a converted church that was built in the 1920's. I hosted a birthday party in the alcove a few years ago...nestled up in the former bell tower it is an unbelievably intimate space but maybe a little small for your purposes. The loft might be better for you...but check out the cloisters too!
