Need the name of a restaurant on La Brea

What the heck is the name of the place, on the west side of the street, north of Wilshire, probably north of Beverly, kinda hollywoody, good lunch place . . . has tofu and rice on the menu, no beef, but yes to turkey burgers. Good place to lunch if you are shopping at LA Rag. Store with good art next door or nearby. I've been away too long and my brain has failed me. Thanks all!

  1. Are you thinking of Cafe Midi? There is the health food place, Inaka along that stretch, as well as places like Campanile (but they certainly have beef). I think Puran's, which used to be right along there relocated, perhaps to the Silver Lake area? Also there is Luna Park (but they are on the east side of the street) and Sante La Brea is along that location and on the west side of the street isn't it?

    Luna Park
672 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036

624 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

    Sante La Brea
345 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

    Cafe Midi
148 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

I was thinking it had to be Sante La Brea or as some of us knew it - A Votre Sante.....

      A Votre Sante
13016 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049

      Sante La Brea
345 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036

I have not eaten there but that place must have been gross--Sante La Brea. I saw Chef Gordon Ramsay try to save it.

    2. Nope, none of these are it. It's sort of an entertainment industry lunch spot. Definitely on the west side. Farther north than Luna Park/Camanile/Ca Brea. Ammo? Acme? Something like that . . .

Edited to add . . .it's on Highland, not La Brea. I *was* thinking of Ammo. Thanks for the replies :-)

You really threw a unhittable curve in the game when you (outside of getting the street wrong ;-D>) said "no beef" - as Ammo certainly has beef on their menu. Glad you figured it out in any case!
