Suggestions for Houston on an expense account?!

I'll be staying in downtown Houston for a week spending the client's money --please throw out your best suggestions for amazing dinner locations (doesn't have to be pricey but must be delish!). Would love to get some local flair in while I'm down there...all recommendations are much appreciated!

Hmm, first suggestion would be to spend your client's money as if you were spending your own. Why in the world would you do differently? Next. Any idea about in what part of town you will be staying.

I would stay away from Rainbow Lodge...I live in the heights (and love it!) but the new location is beyond horrendous. Brenner's on the Bayou took over the old Rainbow Lodge location and it is an interesting space with decent food. Blue on the Bayou (the bar attached) is a fun spot to soak up some local color on the company dime. Not too "trendy".

Would definitely recommend Reef, Feast, T'afia and Da Marco. Try Pico's MexMex for great authentic mexican food...not fancy or expensive but insanely good!

Catalan and Reef for sure. A steak house would also be a good option without a budget limit (Del Frisco's, Vic and Anthony's). Feast would also be interesting if you are an adventurous eater, and to be honest, the tasting menu is a spectacular deal. Could also consider Rainbow Lodge. I'd also suggest Voice but I heard the chef left recently - anyone know where he's gone?
