Bridal Shower Brunch Venues

I'm in the process of booking a venue for my friends Bridal Shower. We want to do a brunch for about 15 people, preferably on a patio as it will be in August. Also, with 15 girls it may get a bit loud so something with a bit of privacy would be ideal. I would like the Queen West area, but am not set on it.

I was all set to book at the Drake hotel. It seems to be ideal, nice rooftop patio, prix fixe brunch menu. But after the interactions I have had with them I am very worried about the service. They have been pretty short and rude to me, not friendly at all. I have never eaten at the Drake before, but is this what their service is like? I don't want to ruin the bride's shower with surly wait staff.

Does anyone have any other recommendations or should I just suck it up and book the Drake?

I went to a Bridal Shower brunch at Czhoski's on Queen West. They had the top floor for us, which was very nice. Great setting and they had a special menu for us with options. The dessert was made by the bride's mother. We did, however, end up drinking all their Cava. It was really fun.

Not in your ideal area but Globe Bistro on the Danforth right at Broadview station has a great rooftop patio and a really good brunch menu. I've always had good service and overall good experiences.

I looked at The Drake for a shower as well and received the same abrupt and unpleasant response from them. The prix fixe menu they sent us looked sparse, and since we have a range of eating preferences/dietary restrictions in our group, I decided to look elsewhere. We ended up booking a party of 15 with the new O&B on Front, which we figured would be reliable- don't know if their patio will be open by then, but they were great to deal with. There is a private room, but you have to pay extra to book it.
