Hotels, B&Bs and restaurants in Donegal, Sligo, Galway [Ireland]

Can anyone give any recommendations for places to stay and what to eat in Donegal, Sligo or Galway? I'm planning to drive down that way on a trip to Northern Ireland this fall.

If you're into that kind of thing, you can't beat Sheridan's Cheesemongers in Churchyard St., Galway, for Irish cheeses and charcuterie. The downstairs is the retail shop with the restaurant area above.

The Spanish Arch hotel on Quay St. is nice and centrally located, but you might be kept up all night by the late license bar across the street if you get a room at the front.

Sorry to interrupt the chow talk, but this board is narrowly focused on finding delicious food. Discussion on where to stay is unfortunately off-topic for our boards, and we request that the replies be focused on where and what to eat. Thanks in advance for helping us keep the boards a focused resource for finding great chow.

Sorry - thought that, at the very least, B&Bs would count as food-related...

McDonagh's on Quay Street in Galway city is great for fish & chips. Won awards for their fish & chips for quite a few years.

Smugglers Creek Inn was a favorite place for a great meal. It's located in Rossnowlagh which is off the main road to Donegal Town. It's been a few years since we visited. The seafood was fresh and you can't beat the view of Rossnowlagh Strand. (It also has a B&B can't comment never stayed there)
