Restos on St Clair West - suggestions?

Hello

My parents will be visiting me on the weekend and we are going for lunch on Sunday. We are looking for a nice place somewhere along St Clair Ave West (preferrably between Bathurst and Oakwood but not limited to) where we can sit and chat while enjoying a nice meal. Also, any suggestions toward the east (heading towards Yonge St) are welcome as well.

Can anyone suggest something? Prefferably a place that isn't loud and is also reasonbly priced. My parents aren't picky eaters so any type of cuisine is on the table.

Prop at St. Clair/Arlington is a newish place with very nice food, affordable and fairly interesting. Great coffee. That would be my first choice - it's more affordable than the Rushton.
Ferro is always open for lunch, across the street at St.Clair/Arlington, time-tested Italian with a great atmosphere.
If you didn't mind takeout, I'd say give Stockyards a shot - St.Clair/Christie - the seating is quite limited, however, so you won't be able to rely on it.

As for the suggestion of Ferro I have wanted to give that place a try and now I know that a trusted Chowhound has gone I will definitely pay them a visit.

The Rushton is closed for Lunch on Sun and Marcello's is open but not until 12 This would be my choice Salad special and Pasta specials as well as their wood oven pizzas Can't go wrong there Miranda

Da Gianni e Maria has changed hands and is now a Portuguese restaurant.

Marcello's on St Clair east of Dufferin is slightly out of the OP's map range, but it is cheap, cheerful and open on Sundays. Good Pizza's

I second the recommendation for Marcello's! They also have a (small) area to eat outside if you are so inclined.

There aren't many nice lunch places along that stretch - dinner yes, lunch not so much. The only place I can think of is The Rushton - great patio and they serve a lunch menu which is pretty good. That would be my choice. It's just west of Christie on St. Clair. Cocoa Latte is very good but it's more a soup/sandwich place.
