Need a recommendation for Sushi

I have two best friends visiting that love sushi and I am new to Portland so I have not had time to experience many places. Would really like some recommendations of great sushi restaurants in the Portland area. Thanks!

I like Hiroshi or Masu for sushi. Masu has a pretty good happy hour where almost all nigiri and some rolls are half off. On the other hand, Bamboo is the sustainable way to go but I just haven't been that wowed by their sushi.

In town proper, my fave is Bamboo for everyday and a great sake list, Murata for more traditional fare, Hiroshi for less traditional and more celebratory (it is expensive).

If you are willing to go to Lake Oswego, Kurata is the one I go to more often than the others, because I feel the value and quality are worth the trip, and because I can't afford to eat at Bamboo/Murata/Hiroshi as often as I would like...

I'll second Kurata, not only for sushi, but also for appetizers/izakaya foods. It's surprising that a restaurant of this caliber is this far into the burbs.
