Depends what you are looking for? Offal/weird meat parts? Food that is still alive? Obscure vegetarians? Something else? Obscure to whom?
The Italians, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, French, British, etc. all have foods they consider perfectly normal but those raised in the USA think are "weird."
I'd look into Picholine's game tasting menu, but I think it's only offered once a year (in the fall, I believe). I'd also consider joining the Gastronauts.

Along the offal lines, I also thought of Takashi, and add in Kenka (bull penis and turkey testicles). Kenka is more of a Japanese crappy bar and food place though.
I may make the bf take me to Takashi for my bday
