Anyone Eat RW at Central Park Boathouse, Water Club or the Palm Court in the Plaza?
I do multiple restaurant week meals every year. So far this RW I went to Maialino and Lure for lunch, the Modern is tonight for dinner and tomorrow I wanted to do one more for lunch. I notice this year there are a lot of "Old School" places on the list I've never been too and I thought it would be fun to try one. I'm not expecting a RW meal like Eleven Madison or Maialino, but I would like some good food and a nice atmosphere.
Has anyone been to any of these places before and comment on ambiance, food, etc.? I will be dining alone as a single gal. Also since some of these places are more on the touristy side I'm wondering about the cost of wine. I really don't want to be paying $17 for a glass and I'm worried the Palm Court or Boathouse may be like that. Thanks!

I've only been to the Boathouse, though not during RW. It's a lovely setting, but the food is only so-so. I've never had anything bad, but nothing especially good or memorable either. I don't remember their wines being overpriced. It's a nice spot to take out-of-towners, but it wouldn't be my RW meal of choice.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I had decided on the Water Club but then my morning activites ran late and I ended up being too late for their lunch which ends at 3:00 and went to the Boathouse instead which runs till 4:00.
As you guys said the food was the weakest of my RW meal's but it was decent and the ambiance was great as yesterday's weather was beautiful so I still enjoyed it.. Wine was $9 a glass so not too bad. Thanks again!

I have not been to NYC during Restaurant Week but I have dined at The Water Club many times. I think the food, service and atmosphere make it one of NYC's finest restaurants. Local CH's will not agree but I love the ambiance due to the gorgeous view of the E River. The food is above average and the service is outstanding. The bar is very nice and you would enjoy dining by yourself at TWC. The room overlooking the river is beautiful and a very nice place to dine. Wines by the glass are $9.00.
I like the Boathouse also but you are talking about apples and oranges comparing the two.
