I thought Austin Texas' Tom Ramsey was the number 1 bad guy when it came to trying to shut down mom n pop food trucks http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/707884 but it's possible that the Aussies have him beat.

i'd venture that there is some (indian) sectarian aspect to this?

on the other hand, the aussies do seem to like the heat. look at this story about jamie oliver's restaurant in melbourne. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/br...

"i'd venture that there is some (indian) sectarian aspect to this?"

or -take a deep breath, alka- it's three restaurants competing for space and custom who've collectively pushed themselves over the edge.
Delete the word "(indian)", replace the word "sectarian" with the word "commercial" and then I think you'll find yourself closer to the truth.

take a deep breath; all news stories are not what they seem to be.
