Yountville Napa recs-NOT high end

keena Jul 20, 2010 08:34 PM

We are visiting the Napa valley from SD and staying in Yountville in September. I've secured reservations to Ad Hoc, French Laundry and Bottega. But I think we'd like one night of a very good but not high end restaurant. Don't really want to drive to far, more casual ambience (that doesn't = noisy for me) and some lighter fare may even be very nice too.

Check out Bistro Jeanty -- on Washington between Ad Hoc and FL... Two apps will make a nice light meal.

The restaurant at Bardessono hotel is actually great and you can sit outside and enjoy the patio. Hurley's also has a great patio and is more laid back. And don't miss Bouchon for coffee and pastries while you're there!

Sounds like you need a trip down to ubuntu. Much more casual, but no step down in food.

If you're in the neighborhood of Ubuntu, and have the time, check out Norman Rose Tavern and Zuzu

Thanks--Ubuntu sounds like exactly what I'm looking for!
