Just noticed one is opening in Westford MA next month. I've never heard of it before, but notice they have a few down the Cape and elsewhere.

Anyone have any feedback?

OK food, nothing special. Good beer selection on tap. Live music later in the night. The decor is real British pub and they have an exchange program where they send our locals over the pond to learn the real deal.

      Cheers for the beer!

But, you would never mistake the place for a London pub.

The food is OK. OK is good. Especially when accompanied by good beer.

Excellent selection of UK beer on draft, all kept in very good condition. The food is good for "pub grub." I wish there were a BBC near me.

I've been to the one in Walpole. Nice beer selection, and it looks like the food is decent, for pub fare. Great for gathering to watch a game with the guys. I hate national chains, so I'm so glad that Applebee's bit the dust in Westford. I'm a little more tolerant of regional chains, and it will be nice to have an alternative to the stinking overcrowded 99. Now my Merrimack Valley crew won't have to trek into Boston to drink good beer, have some eats, and watch a Patriot game.

I e-mailed to find out when Westford plans to open.

As of today they are planning to open officially at 4:00pm on 08/04/2010. I no longer get to Westford often, but next time I'm in the area I will try it. I live a few towns over, but always find that area so congested I avoid it when I can.

I'm up more in the Nashua area with all the same chains, wish something decent would go in where On The Border was.

The last time we went to the BBC was the one in Framingham and my wife and I vowed to never go back. The food was absolutely horrible. Most items are from a frozen box/bag from a food service and poorly prepared. I got "steak tips" which were really just some flavorless (round?) flat steak cut into pieces with what seemed like painted grill marks - came with mashed potatoes that were so dense and gluey that you needed a knife to cut slices off the pile. Wife's request to take some poorly concieved ingredient off her chicken sandwich was ignored. Servers were a bunch of 20 something year old girls who had more interest in talking with each other and going home than they did serving their customers.

The 99 has much better food.

If you can, check out the original in Plymouth. I've also been to the one in Walpole, and in contrast found the beers to be overpriced, the food forgettable. But the Plymouth location is the genuine article!
