Pie...Where to get good pie? Central Connecticut

Lots of pie places, very few any good.
Any one had real pie? Fresh made and baked in the same location, made with fruit not canned slop? Not the current farm stand rage of baking off frozen pies shipped in from who knows where...
Any real cream pies? Not whipped topping but actual CREAM...??
Thanks

I would second Lyman Orchards for fresh fruit pies. You might also try the fruit orchards in South Glastonbury. Here is one example, Rose's Berry Farm, http://www.rosesberryfarm.com/ , but there are a number of others nearby. No cream pies there, though. Better yet, pick some fruit there and make your own!

I like Bishop's Orchard Pie but only the raspberry apple. The absolute best Cream pies I have encountered are at Michele's Pies Norwalk/Wilton line. She comes up to the madison farmer's market on Fridays with fruit pies to sell but can't bring the cream pies...(her apple pie is Very good). http://www.michelespies.com/

Glad I don't live in Norwalk anymore because I would be in TROUBLE.

This doesn't meet all of your criteria but I absolutely love the Pie Guy pies which are sold at Whole Foods. It's a company out of New Hampshire and they are fantastic. From the cream pies to the fruit pies...they are all good.

Lyman Orchards in Middlefield makes their own pies with home grown apples, pumpkins, blueberries, cherries, etc.
