Bloody Mary

Summer is here and it is hot and humid and I love Bloody Marys. Researched and did not find what I wanted on the website. Do not want a Bloody Mary out of a plastic bottle that is so thick it tastes like spicy ketchup or a Bloody Mary brunch bar with the same plastic bottle of thick paste. Does anyone know of a restuarant that makes their own Bloody Mary mix that is light and refreshing?

I'm not exactly sure if you want recommendations only for places that sell bloody mary mix to go? Or places that have great bloody mary's. In any case we like the bloody mary do it yourself bar available at the weekend brunch at the Belmont on La Cienega. Their fixings are wonderful and include slim jim's, smoked oysters, various stuffed olives along with just about everything and anything else you would like, including literally dozens of different spices and juices.

At Tavern, they serve a "Queen Mary" (you can have it with gin or vodka). I prefer Vodka. It is homemade bloody mary mix and they add fresh muddled cucumber to the glass prior to mixing the drink. It is a delicious drink and a big favorite at Sunday Brunch.

One of my friends and several rock stars (I have heard) swear by the one in the bar at the Burbank Airport. I had it once, but not being a BM fan, could not give you a reasonable review.

Funny, that reminds me of the famous bloody mary's served on the Redondo Beach Express shuttle to Catalina Island.

The ingredients are definitely not 100% farmer's market sourced, but they are STIFF and very tasty! They finish it off with an excellent spicy jalapeno green bean. If you're lucky and they are available, they sell jars of the green beans.

My favorite bloody marys are the ones at Comme Ca, the Mercantile and Cafe R+D. They all make their own mix.

Not what you asked for, but on Good Eats, Alton Brown made his own Bloody Mary mix. I followed the recipe and it is much better than any Bloody Mary mix I've had at any bar.
