Looking for good eats in Northern Ohio (Port Clinton, Put In Bay, Kelley's Island, etc.).

Will be traveling from Dayton to Columbus and then on to the Lake--any suggestions along the way? Thanks.

  1. If you enjoy fried seafood (especially fried perch), go to Jolly Roger. It's not at all fancy, but the food is fresh and good.

    1. Put in Bay..

Just was up there two weeks ago, and I can't speak highly enough of a restaurant called Goat on the island. Great atmosphere and drinks. The food was fabulous. I had this seafood mac n cheese with huge chunks of crab, lobster, and shrimp. Everybody's entree in my party was tasty and fresh.

Thanks for the recommendation of this place on Put-in Bay. The name is actually The Goat, Soup and Whiskey. We just had dinner there on Aug. 1 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Perch Tacos were a hit.
