breakfast rec in downtown chicago
WHERE on Michigan Avenue? It's a long street; just the downtown section is about two miles long, from the hotels in the South Loop (e.g. Chicago Hilton and Towers) up past the Loop to the Mag Mile ending at Oak Street.
If it's north of the river, check out this topic:

If it's south of the river, go to Bongo Room at Wabash and Roosevelt, for their creative pancakes.
The most upscale and fancy Sunday brunches are the big buffets at the luxury hotel restaurants: NoMI in the Park Hyatt, Seasons in the Four Seasons, and the Lobby in the Peninsula. They're pricey though ($60-75 per person).
