Southern Tuscany, Northern Umbria & Rome Trip Report

  • 2

I just finished a trip report of our 16 day culinary adventure in Italy this past May, which can be found here: http://willtravelforfoodandwine.blogs...

Highlights include lunches at:

L'Alchimista in Montefalco,
La Porta in Monticchiello,
Baccon di Vino outside Montalcino, and
Osteria Vecchia in Cetona.

And dinners at:

L'Antico Forziere near Deruta,
La Grotta, Le Logge del Vignola and Osteria dell'Acquacheta in Montepulciano,
Da Fiorella and il Rossellino in Pienza, and
Sangallo and La Tavernetta in Rome

We also had amazing dinners at La Bandita, the place we stayed at outside Pienza, and had superb lunches as part of our winery tour at Avignonesi outside Montepulciano, and as part of our truffle hunt/cooking class in Umbria. If you have any questions, please let me know!

  1. Wow, I just read through your blog and it sounds like an amazing trip. The truffle hunt/cooking class especially interested me. How much did that cost?

    1. What a great trip. I commented on your blog on a non-food matter (Deruta pottery). Could you take a look? Thanks.
