Metro Vancouver's first cosplay cafe

These restaurants where the waitresses dress up in costumes have been around for decades in Japan and now seem to have become popular in other parts of Asia. I wonder successful they'll be in Vancouver.

Read about this article today. Like many things Asian, always about the "cute" factor. Vancouver has imported many things Japanese, not a far stretch to incorporate this fad as well.

we had a place like this back in the day in Ottawa it was called I.P Looney's and all the servers were dressed up as different characters and as the name implied they were supposed to be madcap off their rocker "looney", somtimes somewhat entertaining mostly pretty annoying, picture the waiter guy trying waaay too hard to be funny while you're trying to eat your dinner, not the same concept i realize but did remind me of this place

Apparently this place was formerly Go Go Tea and had the maid-servers for several years prior.
