Restaurant for anniversary dinner near Chelsea Piers

Taking a sunset or city lights cruise from Chelsea Piers for our anniversary next month. Any nice restaurants nearby within walking distance? Don't want dressy but would like a nice menu other than bar food. The sailing company advised that there were great restaurants along 10th ave between 15th and 24th streets.

Pretty sure Red Cat is 10th between 23rd and 24th. Cookshop is at 10th and 20th, and is also great - between the two is more casual and the vibe a bit more fun. Trestle on Tenth is also good and has a nice garden if it's not too hot (24th & 10th), and everyone I send to Bottino (Italian, right around the corner) seems to like it there. Any of those should do the trick!

Thanks for the suggstions! We've decided to go see Memphis on Broadway rather than go sailng since the weather is suppposed to be "iffy" tomorrow. I'll check out the Chelsea area another time!

I would recommend The Red Cat - 10th Ave and 20th Street. Casual, but not overly casual; not very pricey. Great neighborhood place with a fun vibe.
