Where to go (downtown) for my birthday?

I am looking for a place or places to have my birthday celebration. I am thinking a place that does food and has the option of lounging after for drinks or two separate places one for food and then one for drinks after.
As for price, I am thinking in the range of the keg. I don't really want to do the keg because I have been there a lot. I am open to different types of cuisine as well. ( Italian, Steak, Bistro, Inter-continental, seafood etc....) just as long as the food is excellent.
I have heard good things about Sidecar, Buca, Chiado, Spunitini, and a bunch of others but I am having trouble deciding where to go. I don't know much about it but have heard mixed reviews of the Drake.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Chiado is over your target budget for sure. You may be able to do it at Buca if you order carefully as it can add up quickly but it would fit your requirements and allow you to check out some of the hot spots on King after dinner - it is not a lounge around after type of place.

Sidecar is not my personal thing but on this board you will find lots of positive reviews and it matches most closely with your budget and again is in an area where you could find somewhere after to lounge at.

The Drake space is nice and the rooftop in the summer is amazing. It is a great location for drinks, but not for food IMO.

The party for dinner woukd be approx. 8. and the party for drinks would be approx. 12-15. The age range is between 25 and 30. It is my 27th birthday. The quality of the food is very important as is not being in a pretentious atmosphere for the partying afterwards.
