Need fresh Garbanzo beans in the Los Gatos/San Jose area
Need fresh garbanzo beans for a Monday birthday celebration recipe.Have put a dragnet over the East Bay with no results,even Mi Pueblo was out.Heading to Los Gatos area tonight where event will take place.Any LG/SJ suggestions appreciated,though many calls there...Whole Foods,Cosentino's,Mi Pueblo etc have turned up nothing.Season is Apr-Sep.Haven't seen them at the LG farmers market either.

This probably won't do you any good if it's for tonight only, but I got some at the Campbell farmers market a few weeks ago. IIRC, I got 'em at Catalan. But whether or not they're still around, I'm not sure.

Catalan farms was selling them last week in Salinas. Worth a call to ask them to bring them to the local market for pick up.

They also had them at the Mountain View farmers market last week and today. Farm is called Wholeness Farms.

Wow, I went to the Mountain View farmers market yesterday and totally missed these. Can you please provide some hints as to their location within the market? Were they on the branch or off?
