Wineries in Eugene Area--any recommendations?
I'll be visiting family in Eugene at the end of the month. They'll be making most of the food decisions, so I don't really need restaurant recs. But we'd like to visit some wineries in the area, and the recommendations I've seen on this board are for locations that are a bit too far away. We've been to King Estate, and will probably return (really enjoyed it the last time). The only other Oregon winery we have experience with is Domaine Serene (LOVE their Pinot Noir), but it's just too much of a drive. What wineries near Eugene, if any, are worthwhile?
Anything south of Salem is fine; must be open during the week, however, since we won't be there on the weekend.
(BTW, is the restaurant at King Estate worth it?)
Thanks!

re: JDBear
Go to Willamette Valley Vineyards, the tasting is complimentary and the wines are excellent. I love their Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir here. There is a nice terrace overlooking the vineyards where you can relax with your tastings. We were just in Newberg at The Allison Inn & Spa, wow, what a place. We enjoyed tasting at Domaine Serene and Stoller Vineyards before going to Salem. If you like dessert wines, check out Honeywood in Salem, the oldest winery in Oregon. Have fun! :)

I'm afraid I don't do wineries, but are you aware of the wineries in the Umpqua Valley?

You may want to look at some of the Pinot Noir and Baco Noir (Girardet).
That may be too far south of Eugene for you, just thought I'd throw it into the mix.
