20 somethings road trip-Need Food Ideas!

Hey all! I am new to Chowhound. Anyways, my best friend and another friend of hers will be taking a roadtrip of the American South. Of course, as (relatively) recent college grads, we are all about making this as inexpensive (yet tasty) as possible. We are going to be in Lafayette, A for sure, with several TBA stops in other cities and states.

If anyone can help me out, it's the good people of chowhound. When I get back, I will be writing about my experience (with the food and the people we encounter) on my blog.

Thanks in advance!!!

You need to tell us more about your itinerary. Where are you coming from and where are you planning to visit. We cannot read your mind. Lafayette we can help you with but you must be more plainer. Good luck.

Thanks Littleman. The thing is, nothing is set in stone. We will be for sure stopping in Memphis along the way. Also, may be stopping along the Gulf Shore in Alabama after Lafayette.

If you go to Gulf Shores Al, stop at Gulf Shores Steamer for a bucket of shrimp. Just make sure they still have it.

I still think you need to give people a bit more of an idea of areas you'll likely be travelling in.
