B-side Rumors - Re-opening in Boston

Eyeba11kid Jul 16, 2010 08:56 AM

I had a friend tell me she heard by that the B-side may be re-opening on Mass Ave near washington. Is that just crazy talk? If it's true the other side of the river(cambridge and somerville)are gonna be super disappointed. None the less, long live the B-side.

But that would make this Dorchester resident very happy.

I'm curious what space that could be. There's something going in around the corner (allegedly), Harry's on Harrison, but that's from the folks behind Flash's, and seems more like a casual restaurant than a bar.

Although the location is quite as the OP described, maybe it's the old Bob's space on Columbus near Mass?

The person behind Bob's has taken over that spot once again. Not sure what will be going in there, though.

The Herald reported last week that Darryl Settles, who owns the Bob's/Circle/Stork Club building, had taken control of the restaurant again, and was bringing in Tim Partridge (formerly of Perdix). It didn't mention any former B-Side players.

Sullivan could just be being coy: no one likes word on a new venture leaking out before they've got a lot of groundwork completed. It's a competitive business.

I wouldn't mind seeing him resurface in some kind of local place of his own. I'm grateful for what he's done for the Legal cocktail program, but he doesn't seem like a corporate kind of hospitality pro.
