Nantucket - causal, infant-friendly

greenzebra Jul 16, 2010 06:41 AM

I'm looking for a place on Nantucket to go to dinner with my in-laws, wife, and 2-month old baby. When I was a kid we always used to go to the Atlantic Cafe (now closed) or the Brotherhood of Thieves (which I've heard is rather bad these days), so something like that is kind of what I'm thinking. I've been to Millie's in Madaket, which was okay, but I'm not dying to return. In town would be much preferable to mid-island. Walking around town Cy's (the new spot that replaced the Atlantic Cafe) and Cambridge Street Vicuals looked promising atmosphere-wise. Anyone been to either of those spots, or have other recommendations?

The Easy Street Restaurant (right at the Steamship dock) is very good and reasonably priced. A little out of town, near the Stop and Shop, is a place called Kitty Murtaghs, which is also excellent.

I agree with ack228, if you miss the old Atlantic Cafe, you'll like Kitty Murtagh's.
