Midweek organic farmers market?

I normally go to the one across from Alon's on saturday morning but sometimes want to get more local heirloom tomatos during the week. Does anyone know of something that happens on a day other than Saturday? Or maybe a store that sells them?

There are a few suburb markets around. Where are you located exactly? There's one in Roswell on Thursday evening (not exactly mid-week I know...) There's one in Smyrna on Tuesdays http://www.farmersatlantaroadmarket.org/. If you're just looking for organic heirlooms you can have a look at Whole Foods or DeKalb Farmer's Market (think large store, not a "true" farmers market).

There is a Wednesday market in Decatur on Church St. @ Commerce. It is about a block off the square in the parking lot behind Bank of America. Tink's Grassfed Beef is there (not every week) 5-6 veggie booths, knife sharpening guy and a cheese vendor.

On Thursday go to East Atlanta Village for the market in the Ace Hardware parking lot. H&F Bread, Moto Bento pizza, Love is Love farm, Riverview Farms (veggies & pork/beef) King of Pops and much more.

I used to go to Morningside every Saturday because it was the only one in town. NOw I mix it up. Decatur has a Saturday market now, the one on Peachtree Rd in Buckhead is awesome!

Funny, I just started looking for farmer's markets that specifically were not midweek. In any case, I came across this listing of local markets, which might be useful: http://www.pickyourown.org/GAfarmersm...

There is one on the Emory University campus on Tuesdays.

It won't help you now because of the summer break but it gears back up in late August with a fun tomato event.
