Kansas City-area restaurants for my grandma's birthday

I'm looking for a nice restaurant for celebrating my grandmother's 80th birthday. Her whole family will be there -- kids, grandkids, great-grandkids -- so it needs to be kid-friendly, but I'd also like for it to be something a little special. Her tastes are pretty simple, so I'm not looking for particularly creative cuisine, just something that will wow an 80-year-old lady who doesn't get to go out to a nice dinner very often.

I should also clarify that it will probably be a group of 25 of us.

Stroud's has incredible food and is super family-friendly.

I think reubensandperrier is spot on with this one. I can't think of another that fits the bill so well.

These look great. Thanks so much for the suggestions!! She actually lives in Blue Springs, so any suggestions in that area would be great, too. Thanks again!

Hereford house is a reasonably priced steakhouse. I haven't been to this location in Independence (near Blue Springs.) It may have a banquet room you could get.
