Good Deals for Lunch

I have a question that might help some other people too. I am wondering about some of San Diego's nicer restaurants that serve lunch. Can you recommend any who charge less at lunch time but you still get the quality experience. I know some charge less at lunch but the menu is much more limited in choices.

How about Cucina Urbana, Cafe, Chloe, Bankers Hills, Urban Solace? Can you recommend places like these and other Board favorites where you could have a good dining experience at lunch time and save a little money without sacrificing too much in menu variety, food prep, and service? Thanks!

George's at the Cove. Nice place for lunch and fairly reasonable.

Hob Nob Hill serves a great lunch. The place has been there for ever, the food is always good and so is the service.

I like Hob Nob because it is a classic neighborhood breakfast joint. In my serveral trips there, however, the food has been inconsistent in quality. Agreed on the wonderful service. I can appreciate the retro atmosphere, however.....

....based on the restaurants nessy referred to, s/he may want a place with a more hip atmosphere in addition to good food.

My vote is for Urban Solace .

Hob Nob is definately "Blue Hair Central." This is especially true around 4-5pm. The old folks love eating dinner early.

I don't think Bankers Hill is open for lunch. The other three you mentioned are and all are a little less expensive with very good variety and good consistent product. And less crowded
