Eat at the MOMA Cafe, lemon; that's a no-brainer. A great [Danny Meyer] restaurant!

The cafe inside the museum has very different food than The Modern, the restaurant next door. However, I believe you need to purchase admission to the museum to get to the cafe inside.

I'll check over the course of this week, but I have a hard time believing that you have to pay admission to enter the restaurant. I mean, it's like the gift shop: not in the place's interest to repel you thus.

edit: I didn't know there was a resto next door named "The Modern." Riding on coattails (and not the homeless), I guess.

            Yup!

Cafe 2 and Terrace 5 are open to museum visitors. The Modern (restaurant next door) is open to all.
