Fresh Mexican Chorizo in SF

Does anyone know where I can get some fresh mex chorizo made with ground pork or beef?
I dont like the kind you can get in the supermarket as they are made with salivary glands and lymph nodes and who knows what else.

Every authentic mexican place I've seen keeps it in link form. Usually under a peculiar specialty made roof (indoors). Maybe you can talk them into setting some aside for you when they grind it?

There's a largish mexican supermarket on the north side of 24th street (sorry don't remember the cross) that has chorizo from a variety of central american countries (including mexican). It's fresh and is higher quality then other supermarket stuff I've seen but I haven't investigated the ingredients. You might try asking them. They keep it behind the counter by the registers.
