In New Haven you'll definitely want to do pizza, but be ready for very passionate and different opinions from the board as to where. Popular choices include Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern. I like the latter since the wait is not usually as long. I'd recommend amending your post to include the area you're interested in to get more responses - this board covers a lot of territory. Where in Westchester will you be?

If you decide to try Frank Pepe's pizza, I would recommend the location in Fairfield. It's right off the I-95 roughly halfway between New Haven and CT/NY border. Provided you don't go on a Friday or Saturday night, usually there isn't a wait for a table and I think their pizzas are better vs the original location in New Haven.
