Where to buy or eat a great Pate en croute

We have an elderly French friend who still dreams of his mom's pate en croute. Doe anybody know a place that sells them? A restaurant would be okay-I think we have a had a good one on occasion at St. Amour, but a place to buy one to take home would be even better.

I was hoping one of the folks here might have a good lead :)

    Greetings, jpie!

You may want to give Saveurs a try. I’ve heard of but have no personal experience with them. The proprietor, Chef Jean Christophe Dupire, was born and schooled in France and is reputed to be accomplished at his craft.

Their mini pates en croute are $16. They are not a walk-in restaurant or store. Instead, they offer catering services and home meal delivery with a $50 minimum and 48-hour advance notice and also participate in the following farmer’s markets:

    Every Saturday:

    La Cañada/Flintridge
    9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

    Glendale/The Americana
    10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

    Every Sunday:

    Brentwood
    9:00 AM to 2:30 PM

    Larchmont Village
    10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
